A Thanksgiving unit reminds us that with Thanksgiving, comes all of the turkey and dressing, but it is also about the Pilgrims and Indians. I found tons of great ideas on Pinterest, and plenty of books along with videos. Because it is all about the budget, I chose materials that I had on hand, or could make for free or next to nothing.
You can find tons of ideas on my Fall Homeschool Pinterest Board. Or, you can start with these simple ideas below.

Try these books and others on Amazon for deep discounts. I have even found it helpful to search out the free books, or purchase a monthly membership on Amazon for other books.

Or try the Berenstein Bears: Count Their Blessings on You Tube.
Thanksgiving unit Downloadables
All of these educational downloadables fit the bill for either a Thanksgiving theme, or as a Social Studies unit on the history and customs of the Mayflower pilgrims and their first Thanksgiving.
